Are you interested in being an Indigenous 150+ Youth Ambassador?
Indigenous and Non-Indigenous Youth across Canada ages 18-28 are invited to apply to participate in an 8 week leadership and skills building course where they will learn protocols for working with Indigenous communities and learn to host and moderate Indigenous 150+ events. As part of this training course participants will learn media skills, interview techniques, how to moderate cross cultural community based dialogue and address harmful stereotypes. Group 1 – Application Deadline: EXTENDED to November 22nd, 2019 3pm EST
Dec 4 – Dec 13, 2019 Training Modules Wed/Thurs/Fri 10am – 1pm EST
Dec 16 – Dec 20, 2019 Training Modules Mon/Wed/Fri 2pm – 5pm EST
Dec 23 – Jan 4, 2020 Holidays
Jan 7 – Feb 7, 2020 Practicum Sharing Circle Check-In Mon/Wed/Fri 2pm – 5pm EST
Group 2 – Application Deadline: February 3rd, 2020 3pm EST
Class times will be announced by December 1st, 2019.
Official Languages: Please note that the Indigenous 150+ National Youth Ambassador Programme will be conducted in English.
1) Applicants must reside in Canada.
2) Applicants must be between the age of 18-28.
3) Applicants will require access to a computer and reliable internet access.
4) Applicants must be available to attend all training sessions.
Preference will be given to applicants who are not in full-time employment nor enrolled in a post-secondary education programme.
All short-listed candidates will be contacted by Nov 22, 2019 and will be required to be available for an interview on November 23, 24 or 25.
